Pitch Requirements

Rogue Luna is constantly seeking fresh and innovative material and offers an open door to writers and creatives of underrepresented groups (Including but not limited to: Women, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, etc.)

Rogue Luna accepts unsolicited scripts, screenplays, and short stories of any length, to be considered for development in close collaboration with the author.

There is no guarantee of a response or of a contract. We will reach out if we feel there is a fit and we will try to respond to all inquiries as time allows.

We keep all inquiries confidential and will not sell or solicit any scripts you send without a contract in place first. We do have the right to negotiate, option, and, upon a signed contract, produce any project we choose from ideas solicited even if it has similarities to a project you may send us at any given time.

You MUST Submit your Logline & Completed Script in the form below AND meet at least 1of the following requirements to pitch your project to us. Failure to meet at least 1 of the requirements will automatically disqualify your project from consideration.

Completed Treatment or Pitch Deck

A treatment is a document that presents the story idea of your project It highlights the most important information about your project. A Pitch Deck also does this and includes more visuals. Both include the title, logline, story summary, and character descriptions, and comparable successful projects. Here at Rogue Luna, we prefer 10 pages or less, however, we will accept any completed treatment or deck.

Budget Top Page Or Completed Budget

Understanding how much money you’re looking to get for a specific project is crucial to know how to approach a project. High-budget projects take a different approach than micro or no-budget projects. Having a breakdown makes it easier for us to secure financing faster without having to do it as part of the process.

LOI from known Talent and/or Director or Producer

Letters of Intent (LOI) are a great way to make your project more marketable. If a recognizable actor, director, or producer is interested enough in your project to put their name behind it for when it goes to production- it goes a LONG way to getting funding. (Does not need to be an A-lister but at least been on a few notable projects) The higher the tier of the person behind the LOI, the better chances we are at getting the project going.

Proof Of Funding

If you’ve been able to secure any amount of seed money already that is a BIG step towards getting things rolling. It makes it more likely that other investors will step up to the plate and put their money behind the project.

Proof Of Approved Tax Incentive Agreements

Tax incentives are a great way to get your project going. If investors know that they’ll have 25% back for every dollar they spend they are more likely to give. Having an agreement in place with different film commissions and approval documents really helps.

Distribution Agreement

While it’s rare that you can get a distribution agreement without most other things in place some people can get an agreement through connections they have early on in the process. If you’re one of those lucky few, then we’d love to see it.
